It is %100 against the colonial mandate of Canada to vote for Palestinian statehood. Doing that would set a precedent for granting statehood to occupied nations - such as ALL of the Indigenous/First Nations inside of “Canadian” borders.
I see wut yr doing Canada.
no no no. Do not fucking pin this on us. We didn’t get a fucking say here.
It’s this jackass who is the minority government leader of our country that nobody likes, who has been surgically grafted onto the US’s dick since he was made PM and has done nothing good for Canada EVER:
you can be sure every other party is pissed off this got no deliberation. This decision is not to be made by us, and none of us made a decision. Harper did. We should’ve bowed out like Australia and the UK have. And besides, the issues you are alluding to are far more complex than that as well. fffffffff
Unless something crazy happened since the last election that I didn’t hear about, he’s majority now. Because, you know, why not give the first Prime Miniter in the history of the nation to be held in contempt of parliament a majority government in the re-elecetion? Because that’s how Canadians care about politics “am I personally on fire right now? No? GREAT JOB PRIME MINISTER!”
Its interesting hearing you guys rant about Canadian internal politics. The tricky bit being you guys are also ignoring the original issue just so you can trash your Prime Minister. I’m not familiar with him, or his policies, but I DO give a shit about the Israeli-Palestinian situation. I don’t know about your Prime Minister, but I DO think he made the right move. The Palestinian crisis is a hugely complex problem, but granting membership to a government in exile that constantly engages in terror attacks on Israel, recently was only pushed off a weeks long rocket attack against Israeli civilian targets by Israel finally putting its foot down and striking back (as was their right, in accordance with Israel’s right to defend itself) and is itself a tool and puppet for various Arab, Muslim and other power groups, is a rather bad move on the part of the world. Particularly when said government, now legitimized, constantly exploits its own refugee population and toes the Muslim extremist hard line to ensure they have ready-made ‘freedom fighters’ when the next big push against Israel comes.
This is a tricky situation, people. Its a lot bigger than whether or not one Prime Minister made a shitty decision.
